Wireless Networking at the University of Toronto - UPDATE

On June 20, 2011 UofT's Campus Wireless Network instituted some changes.  Current users will find themselves unable to connect until they re-verify their UTORid here:  www.utorid.utoronto.ca/cgi-bin/utorid/verify.pl

Please note that the usual wireless network is no longer "UTORwin" but is now "UofT".

Parts of ESC have access points belonging to UofT's Campus Wireless Network.  Ramsay Wright, due to its construction materials, does not.  Ramsay Wright occupants can often pick up a UofT wireless signal from Robarts Library or the Sydney Smith bldg if they are on a higher floor and close to a window.

If you search for wireless access points and see "UofT" connect to it.  You will be asked to type in a key.  It is: UToronto1home

You will be then asked for your UTORid.  Be patient.  Shortly you will be registered and connected.

Once registered with UofT's Campus Wireless Network, you will have internet access over large swathes of the university.
